Emergency livelihoods support for Ukrainian refugees in Georgia 2024
80 Ukrainian refugee households will each receive a grant of 1,000 Euros. The grants can be used to set up new business or to purchase essential equipment for already existing businesses in order to enhance their livelihoods.

EMERGENCY LIVELIHOODS 2024
Estonian Refugee Council introduces the Emergency Livelihoods Programme in Georgia. The objective of the programme is to provide access to livelihoods to vulnerable households affected by the armed conflict in Ukraine, generate new sources of income and support people to achieve the subsistence minimum.
Through this programme, we offer emergency grants to help beneficiaries start or resume various economic activities. These grants can be used to purchase essential equipment or tools needed for the production of goods and services, thereby boosting household income.
ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION PROCESS
Who can apply:
Ukrainian refugee households currently residing in Georgia who have lost their means of support due to the armed conflict in Ukraine are eligible to apply. The pre-approval decision will be based on the information provided by the main applicant representing the household.
Prioritised vulnerable groups:
- Single parent headed household
- Female-headed household
- Households with 3 or more children under 18 years of age
- People with disability
What can the assistance be used for:
We do not have strict limitations on the types of economic activities supported, the grant is intended to help you start or resume economic activities that generate income. This includes but is not limited to:
- Small-Scale Manufacturing: Producing handmade goods, clothing, or crafts.
- Retail Operations: Setting up small shops or kiosks to sell various products.
- Agriculture: Purchasing seeds, livestock, or farming equipment.
- Services: Offering repair services, beauty treatments, or other personal services.
- Food Production: Starting a bakery, café, or small food processing business.
Please note that applications that only propose to enhance operating activities or that only require the coverage of learning costs are not supported under this programme.
HOW TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE
Applicants must submit their applications through the Estonian Refugee Council's online platform.
After filling out the form, our specialists will review the information provided and, if necessary, inform you about the need to provide additional information using the email specified in the online form.
Our experts review the application within 2 weeks after the submission deadline. You will be informed about the results of the application review.
Following the final confirmation, our specialist will contact you to inform you about the next steps.
Selected candidates will take the short series of entrepreneurship trainings, after which they will develop more detailed business ideas/plans. If approved, each will receive financial aid of 1,000 Euros, which will be transferred directly to their bank account.

The information provided during the call and on this form will only be used for the vulnerability assessment of the household and programme assessment purposes. The information collected will be shared with the programme evaluation team and be only accessible to the team members. The results of the assessment will be shared with programme donors in a non-identifiable manner.
